HMCS Magog
During World War II, the Royal Canadian Navy made an order for a River class frigate and after construction, it was named the HMCS Magog with a hull classification of K673 (K meaning it is a frigate). It was commissioned the 7th of May, 1944 and decommissioned the 20th of December, 1944 after having been torpedoed by a submarine in the Gulf of St. Lawrence while escorting a convoy which killed 3 crew and also injured another 3.
